I built Talewell for my daughter — so she could interact with stories as I read them to her, choosing her own path through the narrative rather than just listening to mine. What started as a personal project became a fully-featured mobile interactive fiction platform.

Talewell supports rich multimedia CYOA games — images, audio, custom styles, and interactive scripts — packaged for mobile in a format that's as easy to play as it is to author. Players build a personal game library, pick up exactly where they left off with auto-save, explore alternate story paths with a sophisticated undo system, and earn achievements along the way. Dark mode, customizable fonts, haptic feedback, and full offline support mean the experience holds up whether you're on the couch or on a plane.

The engine underneath is built to be extended. New game formats, new interaction models, new ways to tell a story — the architecture is designed to grow with the medium.
